Pathologists' Assistant for a travel job in Bronx, New York. Job

Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days -

Time:/t8:00 AM-4:00 PM/n/nPrepares gross tissue sections for
pathology analysis, which include but are not limited to cutting,
staining, as required, describing gross anatomic features,
dissecting and processing surgical specimens for bio-banking,
histologic processing, or other analyses (e.g., frozen section).
/n/n2. Performs human postmortem examinations, which include but
are not limited to selection of tissues and fluids for further
examination, external examination, dissection, and gathering and
recording information for autopsy reports. /n/n3. Maintains
laboratory inventory of supplies and equipment; cleans and
disinfects equipment./n/n4. Calibrates, operates and troubleshoots
medical equipment./n/n5. Completes, processes and files appropriate
forms and documents, as needed./n/n6. Adheres to and acts in
compliance with all appropriate procedures, protocols, techniques
and standards, as they relate to the gross room./n/n7. Photographs
surgical specimens, as assigned, and maintains quality standards
and requirements for collection of pathology specimen
photographs./n /n8. Participates in accessioning and labeling
specimens, storing and disposing specimens, and maintaining
reagents and equipment./n/n9. Analyzes data and prepares reports on
findings. /n/n10. Maintains laboratory safety precautions and
adheres to infection prevention procedures./n/n11. Performs other
related duties, as assigned./n/n/n/nValid New York State license
and current registration to practice as a Pathologists’ Assistant
