Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Pre anesthesia screening department PCA/ Clerical for scanning preop documents into Epic. Telephone etiquette a must as communication with multiple offices and patients for scheduling required. Assist with patient admissions including unit set-up and data collection Perform activities related to patient s Activities of Daily Living (i.e. patient s hygiene, ambulation and nutritional support) that incorporate age-specific, psychosocial and environmental needs Respond to patient call lights promptly and courteously Transfer patients within the unit or to another unit Discharge patients according to hospital guidelines Transport patients for tests/procedures Explain selected procedures to patient/family before performing them Refer patient/family questions and concerns to appropriate care team member Relay patient clinical information to the patient s nurse promptlyEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED:Recent experience with caring for patients.Read, write and speak EnglishHigh School diploma or equivalentTECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED/PREFERRED:Provide care related to activities of daily livingOperation of EKG equipmentPhlebotomyPerformance of manual compressions during CPRCREDENTIALS/LICENSE REQUIRED:Certified Nursing Assistant Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Trinity Health is a family of 115,000 colleagues and nearly 26,000 physicians and clinicians across 25 states.
