Job Description Background: The Marketing Social Media
Coordinator will bring the organization's brand to life by
generating compelling, strategically valuable content and
distributing it to targeted audiences across multiple platforms. In
this role, you are directly responsible for providing marketing,
communications, and administrative support to the development
operations of the organization. You will take the lead in evolving
the agency's voice, collecting stories from clients, staff, and
community partners, and translating them into written,
photographic, and video content, managing our social media
platforms, and overseeing the communications plan. You will
collaborate with the VP of Development to review data and analytics
that will guide decisions for content strategy. Example of
responsibilities: General:
- demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and
problem-solving skills
- develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities
- perform in a deadline-driven environment with the ability to be
flexible in response to changing priorities
- ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly
format
- event planning and management
- high level of organization and attention to detail Social
Media:
- implement and manage social media strategy
- design, create, and post informative content daily on various
social media sites
- build audiences through modern social media for business use
strategies
- report on important social media key performance indicators
(KPIs)
- create content that fosters community engagementContent
Creation & Management:
- experience with Google Business Suite
- demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook,
Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest, Instagram)
- experience with graphic design programs Canva and/or Adobe
Creative Suite
- familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer
relationship management (CRM) tools (Abila Fundraising 50 and
Givesmart a plus)
- digital photography and video editing experience a plus
- assists with the organization, development, and implementation
of agency newsletter and annual report Marketing Communication:
- familiarity/Proficiency with google ads and Facebook ads
- knowledge of Organic and Paid SEO practices and web traffic
metrics
- proficient computer skills in HTML/Web development (preferably
Wix)
- experience with survey monkey is a plusEducation
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or
communications Must have proficiency in MS Office; excel, word, and
outlookLocation: Waterbury, CT (on-site position)Annual Salary:
$43,000
