Job Description Sign-On Bonus Available Background The Clinical
Supervisor provides direct service and day-to-day management (staff
supervision and assists in program development and implementation)
of Mobile Crisis services for the greater Waterbury region. The
Clinical Supervisor is responsible for direct services with
children, adolescents, and their families including but not limited
to evaluation and assessment, case and care management, individual
and family therapies, crisis intervention, record keeping,
collaboration with other professionals, team members, and related
community services. Responsibilities 1. To provide comprehensive
evaluations, treatment plans, and treatment of children,
adolescents, and families. 2. To supervise the day-to-day
activities of assigned staff/interns and assist in the development
and implementation of the Mobile Crisis team for greater Waterbury.
3. To implement treatment plans (primarily crisis stabilization
plans) that may include psychotherapy and clinically required
support services including but not limited to translation,
transportation (only as per agency policy) advocacy, and linkage to
other needed services. 4. To prevent and divert high need youths in
the community and in behavioral health congregate settings from
going to the Emergency Department. 5. To work with high need youth
who are on overstays in the Emergency Department or inpatient units
or at risk of overstays; are at risk for placement or are currently
placed in a Crisis Stabilization Program, Psychiatric Residential
Treatment Facility (PRTF) or other behavioral health congregate
settings. 6. To work with local Emergency Departments to create and
implement discharge plans for children who have stabilized from
emergency department care. 7. To work professionally and in tandem
with a variety of community entities including but limited to
parents, schools, police, Emergency Department staff, external
mental health providers, or DCF. 8. Work in a variety of settings
including but not limited to: agency offices sites, client homes,
schools, emergency rooms, shelters, or police stations. 9. To carry
a company-provided cell phone and to be available to provide
after-hour emergency mobile services including both phone and
face-to-face interventions, if assigned as based on agency and/or
client needs. 10. To maintain contact and provide follow-up with
families requiring this service. This may include daily home visits
and home-based therapies. 11. To maintain confidential and/or any
other required program documents. 12. To assist the Director in the
clinical and administrative management of the Mobile Crisis. 14. To
assist in program development, grant writing, marketing and
community outreach. 15. To work collaboratively as a member of a
team with other professionals and concerned parties involved in
cases. 16. To assist in the organization, marketing, planning and
implementation of the program. Requirements A master---s degree in
marriage and family therapy or social work and a Connecticut
license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Social Worker
(LCSW) or a doctorate in psychology and a Connecticut license as
Psychologist is required. A master---s degree in a human service
field with at least a one-year clinical internship working with
children and/or adolescents and a Connecticut license as a
Professional Counselor (LPC) will be considered. Two years
post-graduate clinical experience working with children,
adolescents or families is required, four years experience is
preferred. Experience providing clinical supervision and the
necessary credentialing from NASW, AAMFT or the APA (or a similar
credentialing body that approves supervisors or supervisors in
training, status) may be required. Experience in family therapies
and/or training in family systems theory and practice are also
preferred. Must have a valid driver's license. Employee Benefits
