Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shifts Hours per Shift: 10 hours or 8 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: BLS - AHA Must-Have: Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Description: Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. This includes ensuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments. Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
