Detail: All shifts, rotating days/nights/weekends, 13 hour shifts

Central Region of Hartford Healthcare is hiring a Physician
Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their critical care team!
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work across
both campuses at both MidState Medical Center and The Hospital of
Central Connecticut critical care services. As an APP, you will
play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and specialized care
to a diverse, critically ill patient population of complex medical
and surgical patients. Duties include admissions, discharges,
rounding, and procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, and
chest tubes. We provide a robust and comprehensive orientation and
supervision for procedures, making this an excellent opportunity
for new graduates looking for one-on-one mentorship. Role :
Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Location : 100
Grand Street, New Britain, CT 06052 Setting : Inpatient, critical
care Schedule: Full-time, day/night rotating schedule. Call

Assistants/Nurse Practitioners Role Scope: Under established
guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the
practice physician(s), Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners
perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical,
educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients. In
consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Physician
Assistants/Nurse Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation
of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or
specialists. Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners provide
appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the
provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifies
problems outside of their scope of practice and refers
appropriately to physician. Qualifications Requirements: Licensure
: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
Training : Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
