Technologist – Travel Assignment Location: Waterbury, CT Start
Date: November 10, 2025 Shift: Night 5x8-Hour (17:00 – 07:30),
Monday through Friday Call Requirement: Every third week Overview
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist
for a travel assignment at a leading healthcare facility in
Waterbury, Connecticut. This role offers hands-on experience with
advanced imaging procedures and technologies in a high-acuity
environment serving adult and geriatric populations.
Responsibilities - Perform a wide range of IR procedures including:
- Aortography, embolization, stent placement, thoracentesis,
paracentesis - Gastrostomy tube placement, nephrostomy,
cholecystostomy - Central venous access (ports, PICC lines), IVC
filter placement/removal - Renal, pelvic, mesenteric, and visceral
angiography - Operate and maintain imaging equipment including
Merge PACS and fluoroscopy systems - Prepare access sites, maintain
sterile fields, and follow isolation precautions - Respond to rapid
response/code team activations as needed - Stock supplies and
ensure equipment readiness Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of
experience as an IR Technologist - ARRT (R), BLS, and valid state
license required - Experience with Cerner and Merge PACS
documentation systems - First-time travelers accepted only with
extensive IR experience Preferred certifications include ARRT VI.
Additional Details - Patient population: Adults and geriatrics -
Scrubs provided - Local candidates (within 75 miles) must be noted
upon submission and are subject to a $10/hour rate reduction - Flu
