Job Description Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Waterbury, Connecticut. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Shifts: 3x12-Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30) or Nights (19:00 - 07:30) Duration: 13 weeks Openings: 3 Pay Rate: $2400/Week Job Overview: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a busy Level II Trauma Emergency Department . This role involves caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an inner-city ED setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend coverage is every other weekend. Required Certifications: ACLS BLS CPI PALS TNCC Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience Previous charge experience preferred Trauma Level II experience required Patient Ratio: 1:4 Skills & Responsibilities: Triage IV therapy / phlebotomy Starting and maintaining IVs Blood product administration Neurological care, including CVA management Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and manage dysrhythmias Medication administration via Accudose & Omnicell Documentation in Cerner using SBAR communication Unit Details: Daily census: 100 patients 37 rooms / 37 beds Interdisciplinary support available including PT, respiratory, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transport, unit secretary, and rapid response teams Scrubs: Dark blue Additional Info: Locals accepted at same rate Observed holidays: New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Quick Offers.\n \nReferral bonus available.\n\nCandidates without NIHSS certification are still considered if they are open to completing the free class, which we will assist them with.
