be considered. A contract opportunity is available for an
experienced RN with step-down, PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry nursing
skills to work the night shift in a critical access hospital
setting. This role includes an every-other-weekend rotation and
requires the ability to work independently as well as perform
charge nurse responsibilities. Flexibility to float to other units
as needed is essential. Location: Newport, Vermont, a picturesque
area in the Northeast Kingdom known for its scenic beauty and
strong community feel. Working in this 25-bed critical access
hospital means providing vital care in a close-knit setting where
your skills make a significant impact. Responsibilities: Deliver
comprehensive nursing care on the step-down, PCU, Med-Surg, or
Telemetry units during night shifts Serve as charge nurse,
overseeing patient care and unit operations during assigned shifts
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality
patient outcomes Float to other units as necessary to support
staffing needs Participate in quarterly department education
sessions to maintain clinical skills and compliance Qualifications
or Desired Experience: Valid RN license with experience in
step-down, PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry nursing Proven ability to
work independently and manage charge nurse duties Flexibility to
adapt to unit needs and shifts including every other weekend Strong
clinical assessment and critical thinking skills This contract role
