Job Title: CCU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a critical care setting License: Current New York State nursing license Certifications: - CCRN - TNCC - CPI - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS - PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience and patient ratio experience Description: We are seeking a registered nurse for night shifts in the critical care unit. The candidate should have experience managing high acuity patients. The patient-to-nurse ratio during nights is 1:4-5. Daily census typically reaches around 180 patients. The unit manages a variety of patient diagnoses, including sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, and pneumonia. A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams, such as IV teams, respiratory services, and social services, is essential. The role may involve administering moderate sedation and managing ventilators. Candidates must provide two supervisory clinical references upon application.
