weeks Shift: 5×8 Days Position Overview A respected medical center
in White Plains, NY is seeking an experienced Travel Pathology
Assistant to support day?shift operations within the pathology
department. The ideal candidate is skilled in gross examination and
dissection of surgical specimens, comfortable working
independently, and proficient with voice?recognition dictation
systems. This is a strong weekday schedule with competitive pay in
a well?established New York facility. Requirements - Minimum 1 year
of Pathology Assistant experience - Current BLS - Ability to assist
in preparation and performance of gross examination and dissection
of surgical specimens following section guidelines - Proficiency
using voice recognition systems for dictation - B.S. in Biology or
completion of an accredited Pathologists’ Assistant Program - ASCP
certification preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to
work efficiently in a high?volume lab Responsibilities - Perform
gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens per
established protocols - Utilize voice?recognition dictation systems
for accurate and timely documentation - Prepare specimens for
histologic processing - Collaborate with pathologists and
laboratory staff to support workflow and turnaround times -
Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and documentation Why
