General Surgery opening in Brattleboro, VTLocation: Brattleboro, VT - Albany 75m, Boston 110mFull-time; PermanentNot open to locum or locum-to-perm candidatesNo Visa Assistance Available Assignment/Call Details: Practice Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department, Wound Clinic Schedule details to be discussed Candidates must reside within 1 hour of the hospital Clinical Details: Provide comprehensive general surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings Perform common general surgical procedures including: Hernia repair, Cholecystectomy, Endoscopy, Appendectomy, Management of small bowel obstruction, Colorectal surgery and Skin and soft tissue procedures Evaluate and manage acute and chronic wounds within a multidisciplinary Wound Clinic model Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, physician assistants, perioperative teams, ED clinicians, hospitalists, and wound care staff Provide patient and family education on procedures, risks, benefits, and post-operative care Review diagnostic testing and manage abnormalities Offer surgical consultation for palliative care, pain management, and end-of-life support Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development Maintain OSHA Category I compliance Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency MD or DO from an accredited medical school Active Vermont Medical License DEA prior to start CPR for Healthcare Providers Proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures Clean malpractice history Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days at presentation) Permanent employment availability Compensation Info: Base Salary: $285,000 - $320,000 annually Additional productivity-based incentives Compensation compliant with Vermont Act 155 Full-time employed position Equal Employment Opportunity employer ADA-compliant workplace Malpractice provided About the Area:Brattleboro, VT, with a population of around 12,000 residents, is a vibrant and welcoming community located in Windham County in southeastern Vermont along the Connecticut River.
