Job Description:
As a Lead Utility Driver at Clean Harbors, you will be pivotal
in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous
materials, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and
environmental safety. You will oversee a team of drivers, manage
route logistics, and ensure compliance with both company and
regulatory standards. This role is crucial in supporting our
mission by facilitating the essential services we provide across
North America. Coordinate the daily operations of utility drivers,
ensuring efficient route planning and timely deliveries. Maintain
compliance with environmental laws and company policies regarding
the transportation of hazardous materials. Conduct regular safety
audits and enforce strict safety protocols among driving teams.
Train new drivers on best practices in handling and transportation
of hazardous substances. Manage vehicle maintenance schedules to
ensure operational safety and efficiency. Report and respond to any
emergencies or spills following company guidelines and federal
regulations. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Expertise in hazardous materials handling and transportation.
Proficiency in route planning and logistics software. Excellent
communication and training skills. Ability to respond effectively
to emergencies. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with
Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement. Certification in
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG). OSHA Safety training
certification.
