Job Description Support the preparation and mixing of
pharmaceutical bulk products. Carry out additional departmental
tasks as needed, including cleaning, sanitization, and other
assigned duties. Follow established Manufacturing Instructions,
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMPs) to assist compounders in operating mixing tanks,
compounding kettles, mills, mixers, pumps, and other equipment used
in the production of pharmaceutical products. Responsibilities
Transfer raw materials from staging or compounding areas and move
bulk product to designated storage locations. Assist in accurately
weighing specified types and quantities of liquid or solid raw
ingredients using automated dispensing systems or manual scales, in
accordance with approved formulas. Transfer completed batches into
appropriate containers via pump or gravity for delivery to storage
or other production departments. Actively identify and question
anomalies, using them as opportunities to deepen understanding and
support problem resolution. Collect bulk samples for laboratory
analysis and assist with the handling, dispensing, and sampling of
hazardous raw materials as needed. Participate in the daily
cleaning and sanitization of kettles, mixers, pumps, utensils, and
compounding rooms. Perform scheduled environmental monitoring in
accordance with SOPs. Support the weighing and mixing of sanitizing
agents as required. Complete all required batch documentation
accurately and in a timely manner. Comply with all relevant
procedures, cGMPs, company policies, and regulatory requirements
(OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E). Ensure all work is
conducted safely, effectively, and in alignment with departmental,
plant, and corporate quality standards and Behavioral Based Safety
(BBS) goals. Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year working with
chemicals in a cGMP-regulated environment. Proficiency in a
dispensary or equivalent setting. Strong English reading and
comprehension skills to interpret detailed SOPs, formulas, and
manufacturing instructions. Basic math skills and familiarity with
the metric system. Ability to understand and apply cGMP and SOP
standards, and recognize compliance issues. Capable of lifting up
to 50 lbs and properly using half or full-face protective gear.
Ability to sustain a high level of physical activity throughout the
workday. Must adhere to strict cleaning and sanitation protocols in
restricted compounding areas. Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
Relevant pharmaceutical experience with a foundation in chemical
handling and processing. Visual acuity defined as 20/20 vision,
either corrected or uncorrected, and peripheral vision must include
a horizontal field of at least 70°ree; in each eye. Work
Environment Work hours are from 10 p.m. to 6:45 a.m., Monday
through Friday, with potential for additional shifts twice a month
based on production demand. Training will occur during regular
shifts. The role requires wearing full-body protective gear for
extended periods when handling hazardous materials and sustaining a
high level of physical activity throughout the workday. Job Type &
Location This is a Contract position based out of Hicksville, NY.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 -
$23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may
depend on your job classification and length of employment.
