Teacher assumes the responsibility for managing, planning, executing and monitoring the daily program of activities to meet the developmental need of the assigned program space according to Connecticut Regulations, NAEYC Accreditation standards, School Readiness standards in cooperation with other staff members. To provide a secure and stimulating environment (total program component) that supports young children's growth and development specific to the children's developmental levels, individual needs, Center philosophy and Connecticut licensing regulations.

Saint Mary's Child Development Center is seeking a full time Associate Teacher to provide exceptional early care and education for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. We are a member of Trinity Health Of New England family bringing compassionate care to our communities.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours Day Shift

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Exceptional Child Care: assist the teachers with planning, executing and monitoring the daily program of activities to meet the developmental need of the assigned program

  • Technical Familiarity: Provide a secure and stimulating environment (total program component) that supports young children's growth and development specific to the children's developmental levels, individual needs, Center philosophy and Connecticut licensing regulations.

Requirements

  • Current Infant and Child First Aid and CPR as approved by the Department of Public Health Licensing regulations for Child Care settings

  • Previous ECE teaching experience required

  • CDA or Associates required or must be completed by 2024.

  • Knowledge of OEC, Regulations, NAEYC standards preferred.
