the deep draw and aerosol can industries.
Act as liaison between assigned customers and QA Manager/Quality
Engineers to ensure only quality product that meets ITW Drawform
requirements is shipped to customers.
Plan inspection methods & sequence for assigned products.
Perform routine and assigned receiving, in-process and final
Assist production personnel in understanding product standards
and interpretation of product quality standards, customer specs &
special practice instructions.
Determine causes for faulty work, investigate consistently
recurring rejects, consult with production supervisors on causes
and make suggestions for corrections.
Perform dimensional checks on samples of product prior to
packing in accordance with established sample plans. Make decisions
concerning the production or shipment of nonconforming product.
Generate "Hold" tags to identify nonconforming or suspect
Perform mechanical tests as required, such as hardness, leak
testing, flow testing.
Work from blueprints and specification sheets using instruments
such as profilometer, contour scope, CMM, optical comparator,
micrometer, vernier, various rings and gages, etc.
Perform gage calibration, gage R&Rs, and capability studies
when required, entering data on computer as required.
High school diploma required. Knowledge/understanding of
blueprint reading and GD&T required. Familiarity with SPC, shop
floor gauging, and basic mathematics and computer skills
