The Patient Access Representative is responsible for pre-registration, registration and admission functions in the Emergency Department.

**_Work Hours/Shift:_**
+ 40 hours, evening shift. Differentials apply.
**_You Will Be Responsible For_** :
+ **Exceptional Patient Care** : Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
+ **Excellent Communicator** : Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits.
+ **Technical Familiarity:** Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate. Collects non-covered fees.
**_Requirements_** :
+ Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred
+ Medical terminology skills.
+ Relevant medical office, hospital / physicians billing or patient registration experience preferred.
+ Excellent customer service, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
